UUnder Armour has recently launched their UA Pursuit collection and today they sent me a really awesome package! It was numbered 33 of 150 in a vintage metal case. Inside included a set of bluetooth JBL headphones, black and blue jacket with matching cargo pants, as well as sneakers from the new collection. Check out the photos below!
PPier 2 at the Brooklyn Bridge Park was the amazing location for this year’s Elite 24 games. Friday night hosted the 3 point and dunk contests. It was really exciting to watch – the dunk contest was especially electrifying! If you missed the action, be sure to watch the video recaps over at BallIsLife.com
The 3-point winner was Terrance Ferguson (Who is also a beast at dunking), while the Dunk Contest winner was #1 player in the class of 2016, Josh Jackson. Check out the photos below!
IIt’s that time of year again – The Elite 24! Every year it has grown bigger and bigger, this also being the 10 year anniversary! Day 01 started off with a practice at a local gym in New York. The talent this year is amazing, it was a lot of fun seeing the rising stars come out and show off their moves. Elite 24 alumni and recently drafted lottery pick, Emmanuel Mudiay, was also in attendance. Emmanuel recently signed an endorsement deal with Under Armour as well. Be sure to stay tuned for all this action this weekend!
LLast night NBA Star and Compton Native, Brandon Jennings, rented an entire movie theater in Los Angeles for his friends and family. With the recent release of the biopic “Straight Outta Compton”, he wanted to make sure people got a chance to see the city and learn about an important part of history that impacted the world. Brandon is a great guy and always loves to highlight the positive and give back to the community. Thanks again for everything, Brandon! Check out some of the pics below
TThe excitement of seeing which players will be participating in team USA is a big deal – but there is another world that looks for something more than just the players. The sneaker world looks forward to seeing all of the player exclusive shoes that the guys wear. This year did not disappoint, with the first look at the Curry Two, another colorway of the Kyrie 1, Custom versions for John Wall, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony – as well as some other player exclusives you have to check out below!
TThe most anticipated part of the entire weekend is of course the All Star game! The event took place at Madison Square Garden in front of a packed arena! The star studded event didn’t just include the stars on the court – the stands were filled with all kinds of familiar faces in the entertainment and sports world. It’s always fun watching the all star game because you can see how some of your favorite players would play on the same team – something we wouldn’t normally get to see throughout the regular season. These matchups and teammates made it a very interesting game to watch. Especially on the west – Stephen Curry and Chris Paul dishing assists – watching Russell Westbrook score everything coming his way as well! The game ended with the West taking the victory, as well as Russell winning MVP with 41 points! The second highest scorer ever in an All Star game (Off by 1 point for the most number!) It was a fun event to get to see live, make sure to check out the highlights on nba.com
FFor anyone looking for interesting, new and exciting sneakers, All Star weekend had a bunch of new surprises and colorways. Aside from the launch of the Kobe X’s and the Curry 1s, you could find the players wearing custom colorways and upcoming releases. Kanye West also released his first shoe with Adidas during all star weekend. Check out the pictures of some of the kicks around All Star weekend!
AAnother fun part about All Star Weekend is the opportunity for fans to meet their favorite players! Some of the players involved with the All Star Weekend activities (and even some that were just in town visiting) were doing signings for the fans that wanted to come out and get an autograph and say hi. Under Armour set up a signing for Stephen Curry at the Footlocker on 34th street. Today was also the first day launch of the Curry One! I arrived at 8am and there was already a long line in the FREEZING weather! The event started at 9am and the line had grown even more – stretching all the way down the street. Stephen was able to get through the entire line and greet everyone that had waited for him. On his way out, he made sure to high-five and say hi to the fans that were waiting outside to say hi as he left. Congrats Stephen! Check out the pictures below:

They also announced the upcoming launch of Stephen Curry’s first signature shoe, the Curry One. To close off the event, they revealed an epic commercial featuring Jamie Foxx and Stephen Curry. WWhen thinking of the city of Los Angeles, one of the last thing that comes to mind are the projects. It doesn’t always come with the best reputation – poverty and crime keep many from going anywhere near it. The most overlooked part of this area of LA are the children that are born and raised in this environment. I’ve volunteered at Imperial Courts projects for years now and theres nothing better than interacting with the kids and showing them love. Three years ago, Brandon Jennings decided to come play for the kids in Imperial Courts projects – the first NBA player to come down there and play. Since that day, he has gone back every year to play a game and interact with everyone that comes out. Brandon, along with Mark Hill, joined together to create two teams to play this game. The game Wednesday night brought out a lot of people to see an amazing game! Brandon Jennings along with Kwame Alexander was a highlight reel in itself. Jerome Jordan and Mark Hill were dominating for the opposing team. Overall the entire game was for a good cause – raising awareness for peace in the projects. Thank you to Joee Evans for having us come out to the game! Check out the photo gallery below
