S Season 2 of Thru The Lens kicks off with access to an NBA Star like never seen before. Cassy Athena followed Rudy Gay for two days to get to know the Sacramento King better in the offseason. This is the first time Rudy has ever shared access to someone following him! One of the greatest and funniest people to be around, follow Rudy as he hosts his camp, shows off some of his shoe collection and proves his baseball skills! *Check out the photo gallery below too!*
RRyan Hollins (Sacramento Kings), Air West, the VBL and the new Ballerzworld App all collaborated for a launch party at H.O.M.E. in Beverly Hills on Sunday night. The event brought out basketball talent and industry talent from all over. Ballerzworld is an app for basketball players looking to link up for good runs and games! Read more about it at Ballerzworld.com and make sure to download the app! Check out the photo gallery below!
NNBA Star and Gold Medalist, Rudy Gay, sat down with us for an exclusive interview. Throughout his career, you might be able to find a few videos of him talking about his life outside of basketball (mainly about his sneakers!) but Rudy sat down with us and opened up about a few things to get to know him better! We made our way up to the Kings Practice facility in Sacramento to talk with him about everything from sacrifices he made for basketball, playing with team USA, his favorite food, his favorite music, being a baseball player, his sneaker collection and more! Check out the episode and let us know if you’d like to see more videos of him!
HHaving both NBA All Star Weekend collide with New York Fashion Week brought out the best of both worlds – as well as some of those worlds combining! Throughout New York you could find some of the most fashionable NBA players attending fashion shows – either as spectators or actually involved with the clothing lines! I checked out the Behind the Bench gala – a fundraiser/fashion show put on by the basketball wives. The event took place at the Marriot in Times Square and was beautifully set up. I made my way backstage to link up with two different clothing lines started by NBA players. The first was Dorell Wright [Portland Trailblazers] line, Scrapes and Gravel. The second was Jack McClinton [Former NBA] and Carlos Boozer [LA Lakers] line, Loaded Dock. Other players in attendance to support were Quincy Miller [Detroit Pistons] and Eric Moreland [Sacramento Kings]. It was fun seeing a different side of these players – as well as seeing the creativity that goes into the entire process! I have some pictures below, but I also have some video footage coming soon!
