USC alumni JT Terrell was in attendance to check out the game as well. Make sure to make your way to the Galen Center next weekend to see them take on Portland State!
For those of you who follow my Thru The Lens series, I followed Jordan McLaughlin last year as he was entering his Senior Year of High School. It was great getting to catch up with him as he starts on his new journey in college. To see the episode, click here.
It was a fun event and I’m looking forward to catching more USC games this season! Check out the photo gallery below
Unfortunately, Cliff Alexander, Jordan McLaughlin and Kelly Oubre were not able to play for various reason. Other than that, the players who did play certainly put on a great game. The halftime performance was by up-and-coming rapper, Casey Veggies. Overall the event was well put together and I look forward to seeing how it grows in years to come! I attended the second day of the 2 day tournament to watch Etiwanda vs St John Bosco.USC commit Jordan McLaughlin was one of the most exciting players to watch the entire tournament.
Jordan had 30 of his 32 points after halftime. He also scored a shot with less than 6 seconds left to take the team into Overtime, in which Etiwanda won. Make sure to check out the episode of Thru The Lens that I filmed for Jordan McLaughlin.
The last game of the night was Whitney Young (Chicago, IL) vs Mater Dei. Seeing two of the top players in the country battle it out was highly anticipated. Mater Dei took control of that game and won. It was a fun tournament and I got to see a lot of basketball talent and some cool shoes!
