Nike Air West brings out top basketball talent

Nike Air West is a private basketball run located in the heart of Los Angeles. I started taking pictures at Air West during week 1 back in 2012. Since its beginnings, the league has hosted a variety of top basketball talent, including Nick Young, DeMar DeRozan, James Harden, Bobby Brown, Marcus Williams, Austin Daye, Mychel Thompson, Brandon Jennings, Pooh Jeter, Jordan Crawford and the list goes on and on. The run has since changed around some of the management and is currently being run by one of the best trainers in Los Angeles – Keion Kindred. Alongside him is one of the great basketball talents from LA, Chris Young aka Ghetto Bird. These two have continued to grow Air West into truly being an elite run.

I stopped by last night to take some pictures and I got there just in time to see a great matchup – two of the top NBA players against two of the top Highschool players. DeMar DeRozan and James Harden going against Stanley Johnson and Daniel Hamilton. The game went into overtime and the rules for overtime were a little confusing so I will just say it was a tie! (haha) It was a great matchup to see two amazing highschool players really hold their own against the NBA stars. Its also always a pleasure to watch DeMar and James play, they really show why they’re two of the best in the league.

The run is every wednesday, be sure to follow their Instagram and Twitter pages. Check out the pictures below!
